Rebecca Leonard Nutritional Therapist

Hi, I’m Rebecca and I’m a fully qualified and registered Nutritional Therapist with a BSc in Nutrition Science and a Level 6 Nutritional Therapy Practice Diploma. I also integrate coaching techniques within my practice to provide health coaching and motivational support.

During my training I have watched the interest in health and nutrition grow and I now enjoy sharing my knowledge with people, helping them to put this new information into practice in their everyday lives. New and emerging nutrition science is now enabling people to better understand how to nourish and nurture their bodies so that they feel energised whilst also helping to prevent many health conditions that are associated with our modern lifestyles.

"Nutritional Therapy can provide you with the knowledge to help you regain some control over your own health".

I have had an interest in healthy living and enjoyed eating healthy food for most of my life, but it wasn’t until I came across the idea of studying nutrition science that it all made sense. I realised that this is what I should have always been doing.

My previous life was in the creative world with my first degree in photography at The London College of Printing and I then worked in publishing, production and charities for several years.

Then came the challenge of raising my children and trying my best to feed them a healthy, whole-food diet in a world full of confusing and contradictory messages. It was during these years and as a result of lots of research that I started to realise that my interest in nutrition could become my new career. So, I spent 5 years studying with Middlesex University and The Centre for Nutrition and Lifestyle Management to gain a science and evidence-based qualification.

I am registered with the British Association of Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) which is the professional body for nutrition professionals. I am also registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) the government-run body set up to protect the public and set standards for complementary health professionals.

My training enables me to work with people who have a variety of needs and health goals and I have a passion for helping people to understand how food can affect them and regain the feeling of control over their own health.  I have a particular interest in plant-based nutrition however the services I offer are for everyone and are tailored specifically for each individual client. If this sounds interesting to you and you'd like to discuss how dietary and lifestyle changes could help you why not book a free discovery call with me?
